Softball Recap: Rocky Mountain Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Rocky Mountain had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Thunder Ridge Titans on Saturday by a score of 8-7 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Tayler Kloczko was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Aubrey Sorensen was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Rocky Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Thunder Ridge, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.

Looking ahead, Rocky Mountain will take on Owyhee in a tournament on Thursday. The Storm's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Grizzlies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Thunder Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
