Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Tuscaloosa County

The Hillcrest Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Hillcrest's offense. They came up short against Thompson on Friday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Hillcrest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Thompson are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Tuscaloosa County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to Tuscaloosa Academy. Jose Ramirez was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Tuscaloosa County's loss dropped their record down to 7-4-1. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
