West Springfield is 8-2 against West Potomac since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. West Springfield will be strutting in after a win while West Potomac will be coming in after a defeat.

While West Springfield's victory against South County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Stallions 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, West Potomac didn't have quite enough to beat Alexandria City on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

West Potomac saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Barrett Baker, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

West Springfield pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Potomac, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

West Springfield was able to grind out a solid win over West Potomac in their previous meeting back in March, winning 10-6. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
