Basketball Recap: Jordi Nsilu's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Urbana over Macarthur

On Wednesday, the Urbana Tigers ended up a good deal behind the MacArthur Generals and lost 67-48. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Generals are ranked 68th).

Urbana's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordi Nsilu, who posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave Nsilu a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jesse Mfwamba, who had 11 points.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for MacArthur, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.

Urbana wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-28 loss against Chicago Marshall on the 1st. As for MacArthur, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-46 win against Jacksonville on the 31st.
