Durham proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 30) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They escaped with a win against the Hoopa Valley Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Loss or not, Hoopa Valley got some senior leadership from Carlos Anzora and Malakai McCoy. Anzora posted 13 points and four steals, while McCoy scored 22 points and five rebounds. McCoy's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Joshua Moon was another key player, putting up seven points.

Durham's record now sits at 2-0. As for Hoopa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Durham has already played their next contest, a 48-25 win against Corning on the 5th. As for Hoopa Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-61 victory against Linden on the 5th.
