Basketball Game Preview: Kimball Jaguars vs. St. Mary's Rams

The Kimball Jaguars are taking a road trip to take on the St. Mary's Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kimball is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Kimball is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Lincoln on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Kimball was beaten by Lincoln 84-46. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 594th, while the Trojans are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, St. Mary's unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Tracy by a score of 51-48.

Kimball will need focus on slowing down William Weathington, one of several St. Mary's players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Hinkston, who posted ten points and five assists.

Kimball's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
