Basketball Recap: Seeley-Swan Extends Winning Streak to Five

Seeley-Swan won the last time they faced Valley Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks enjoyed a cozy 51-33 victory over the Valley Christian Eagles. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Eagles are ranked 143rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valley Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bergen Wornath, who posted five points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmandee Coghlan, who earned eight points.

The win (which was Seeley-Swan's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Valley Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Seeley-Swan has already played their next matchup (against Drummond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Valley Christian will square off against St. Regis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
