Football Recap: North Olmsted Takes a Loss

If North Olmsted was feeling good fresh off their 42-14 takedown of Lakewood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Rocky River Pirates on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Pirates are ranked 121st).

North Olmsted's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rocky River, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. North Olmsted will square off against Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocky River, they will face off against Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will be up against the Demons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
