Hallandale extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Monday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were outmatched by the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes and fell 82-48. On the bright side, the 48- point performance marked the Chargers' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the loss, Hallandale still got an impressive performance from Willie Bailey, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Derrick Jones, who put up seven points.

Pompano Beach's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since January 23rd (when they won 66-22).

Trabis Ward produced another solid effort putting up 26 points. The matchup was his third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan McIntosh-Raiford, who scored 18 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hallandale and Monarch will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Pompano Beach, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Plantation at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Tornadoes will be up against the Colonels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
