Grain Valley entered their tilt with Platte County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 52-40 win over the Platte County Pirates. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Pirates are ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grain Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Platte County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grain Valley will host Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
