Marinette has gone 9-1 against Waupaca recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Marines will be home for the holidays to greet the Comets at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Marinette's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Waupaca has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Marinette and Luxemburg-Casco, and Luxemburg-Casco kept the tradition alive. The Marines fell 63-54 to the Spartans on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Waupaca had to suffer through a 71-41 loss at the hands of Fox Valley Lutheran. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Foxes are ranked 36th).

Marinette's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Waupaca, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Marinette took their victory against Waupaca in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 68-45 score. Will the Marines repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
