Hardaway piles up the points against Columbus

Recap: Hardaway Hawks vs. Columbus Blue Devils

The Hardaway Hawks entered their tilt with the Columbus Blue Devils with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hardaway breezed by Columbus on the road to the tune of 61-27. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-8.

Hardaway's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mikayla Johnson, who scored 20 points. The matchup was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. La?niya Meeks was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four blocks.

Despite the loss, Columbus still got an impressive performance from Alyna Gilbert, who scored ten points along with four steals.

Columbus struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Hardaway has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Columbus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Hardaway will head out on the road to face off against Spencer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spencer is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Columbus won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Northside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
