Volleyball Game Preview: Riverwood Raiders vs. Chamblee Bulldogs

The Riverwood Raiders will challenge the Chamblee Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Riverwood came up short against River Ridge on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

While Riverwood was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into River Ridge's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Chamblee had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mustangs.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Chamblee was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10.

Riverwood better keep an eye on Kaitlin Yarberry. She was instrumental in Chamblee's win, getting eight aces. Those eight aces gave Yarberry a new career-high.

Chamblee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 31 aces. They are a perfect 11-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Riverwood's loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Chamblee, they now have a winning record of 17-16.
