Basketball Game Preview: Eden Bulldogs vs. Menard Yellowjackets

The Eden Bulldogs will take on the Menard Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Eden is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Grape Creek just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 70-39.

Meanwhile, Menard entered their game against Robert Lee on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Menard came up short against Robert Lee, falling 63-37. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1324th, while the Steers are ranked 449th).

Eden's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Menard, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5.

Eden didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Menard in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-44 victory. Does Eden have another victory up their sleeve, or will Menard turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
