Football Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it five. They were outmatched by the Kearny Komets and fell 56-12. The match marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Although Hamilton took the loss, they still got scores from Kaidin Johnson and Jaden Garcia.

As for Kearny, the win got them back to even at 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kearny to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jared Torres, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also caught one score. Jaylen Hill was another key back, gaining 139 total yards and three touchdowns.

Hamilton will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vasquez at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. As for Kearny, they will take on Southwest SD at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
