Volleyball Recap: Miami Trace Triumphs

Miami Trace posted their closest victory since September 18th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the River View Black Bears, sneaking past 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Miami Trace got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-21.

Lauren Farrens paced Miami Trace's offense, picking up 24 kills. Farrens got some help from Kylie Yeazel and her 39 assists. Lauren Guess controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Lindyn Fry and Audrey Buxton certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Fry had nine digs and one assist, while Buxton had five digs.

Miami Trace's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. As for River View, their loss ended a nine-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami Trace will be taking part in a tournament against Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for River View, they will take on Maysville in a tournament on Tuesday.
