Covington waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Buccs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Covington got a massive performance out of Emalyn Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Kylie Palsgrove was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Covington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive contests.

Covington's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Lehman Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Covington will face off against Riverside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lehman Catholic, they will take on Franklin Monroe at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cavaliers are facing the Jets at the right time seeing as the Jets are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
