Basketball Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Brandon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 65-55 to the Freedom Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 61-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Serigme Thiam was his usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double with 30 points and ten rebounds for Freedom. Those 30 points gave Thiam a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Dye, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Brandon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Freedom, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Coming up, Brandon won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Leto at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Freedom, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Riverview at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
