Recap: Boca Raton Bobcats vs. Olympic Heights Lions
If the Boca Raton Bobcats were riding high off their 60-18 takedown of the Sports Leadership & Management Cobras on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Boca Raton fell 51-44 to Olympic Heights on Friday. Boca Raton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Olympic Heights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
When it comes to explaining why Boca Raton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Dahmer. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Harris, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olympic Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Harbatkin, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds. Ethan Michaels was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 3 steals.
Boca Raton now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Olympic Heights, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boca Raton will challenge Santaluces at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Santaluces focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Olympic Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Palm Beach Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
