Lubbock-Cooper is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Horizon 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Argyle duked it out with Joshua on Friday. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Owls 6-5. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

Argyle's victory bumped their record up to 20-13-1. As for Lubbock-Cooper, their win bumped their record up to 22-10-1.

Lubbock-Cooper suffered a grim 15-8 defeat to Argyle in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
