Basketball Game Preview: Wilson Tigers vs. Providence Day Chargers

The Wilson Tigers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Providence Day Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wilson is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Lancaster. The Tigers came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 87-74 on Saturday.

Josh Leonard went supernova, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 14 boards. His big performance that afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Josh Gamble was another key player, going 5-for-10 on his way to 20 points.

Meanwhile, Providence Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. The game between the Chargers and Concord Academy didn't end well, with the Chargers falling 74-59. On the bright side, the 59- point performance marked the Chargers' highest-scoring matchup to date.
