Basketball Recap: Muhlenberg Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

On Saturday, the Muhlenberg Muhls earned a 56-49 win over the Council Rock North Indians. Given the Muhls' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Indians are ranked 404th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Muhlenberg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Council Rock North, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Muhlenberg will venture away from home to challenge Exeter Township at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Council Rock North, they will welcome Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Quakertown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
