On Saturday, Waldron needed a bit of extra time to put away Rising Sun. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shiners, sneaking past 50-48. The win continues a trend for the Mohawks in their matchups with the Shiners: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 58 points the game before, Greenwood Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were dealt a 67-19 defeat at the hands of Franklin Community. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Grizzly Cubs: they've now lost three in a row.

Molly Hunter was Greenwood Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted nine points.

Waldron now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
