Basketball Recap: Cambridge Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Maddox Lee and Gentry Phillips

Cambridge Academy lost against Newberry Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cambridge Academy Cougars came up short against Newberry Academy, falling 46-22. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly 24 points.

Cambridge Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gentry Phillips, who posted seven points, and Maddox Lee, who put up nine points. Phillips also grabbed a steal, marking his first of the season.

Cambridge Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Newberry Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.
