Soccer Game Preview: Pine Grove vs. North Schuylkill

The Pine Grove Cardinals will face off against the North Schuylkill Spartans at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Grove's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While Pine Grove's win against Williams Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. Pine Grove haven't had any issues with Williams Valley recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Pine Grove's one-goal win came courtesy of Kendra Umbenhauer, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, North Schuylkill managed to keep up with Minersville until halftime on September 13th, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans lost 4-0 to the Battlin' Miners.

North Schuylkill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pine Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1.
