Softball Game Preview: Greensboro Raiders vs. Choctaw County Tigers

The Greensboro Raiders will head out to face off against the Choctaw County Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Greensboro and 11 for Choctaw County dating back to last season.

Greensboro fell victim to Tuscaloosa Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 23-0 to the Knights.

Meanwhile, Choctaw County scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Fruitdale, falling 23-5.

Derrianna Maye made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season.

Even though they lost, Choctaw County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Choctaw County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Greensboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
