Soccer Recap: United Takes a Loss

United managed to keep up with Eagle Pass until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The United Longhorns lost 4-0 to the Eagle Pass Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Longhorns came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Eagles are ranked 210th).

United's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Eagle Pass, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Coming up, United will be playing in front of their home fans against Laredo LBJ at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Eagle Pass, they will head out on the road to face off against United South at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
