Baseball Recap: Alamosa Triumphs

After losing to Montrose the last time they met, Alamosa decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Alamosa Mean Moose came out on top against the Montrose Red Hawks by a score of 11-8 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mean Moose.

The team relied heavily on Jaidyn Burciaga, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jo David, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Alamosa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in nine consecutive matches dating back to last season.
