Softball Recap: Artesia Pioneers vs. Whitney Wildcats
While Artesia's win against Whitney wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pioneers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wildcats 16-14. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pioneers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Khloe Loquellano was incredible, going 5-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleyse Foster, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Loquellano wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Artesia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. The Pioneers are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Artesia now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Whitney, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
