Football Recap: Zephyrhills Bulldogs vs. Rockledge Raiders        
        
		
             With a playoff game on the line, Zephyrhills rose to the challenge  on Friday. They blew past the Rockledge Raiders 35-15. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matches by 20  points or more  so far this season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Zephyrhills to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Dj Pickett, who picked up 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Pickett was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 57 yards. Another passer making a difference was  Xzavier Jackson, who threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes.
 Zephyrhills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Deori Pope and  Tristan Lennon. Another thorn in Rockledge's side was  Zacary Carroll, who picked up  a  sack and made 15 total tackles.
 Although Rockledge took the loss, they still got scores from  Joshua Williams and  Jaelyn Bradley.
 Zephyrhills pushed their record up to 8-3 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.0 points per game. As for Rockledge,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-4.
 Zephyrhills will venture away from home to  face off against Jones  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Jones will roll in looking for their  12th straight  victory, something Zephyrhills surely won't give up without a fight. Rockledge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
