Softball Recap: Trinity Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Classical Academy managed to slip by Desert Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Trinity Classical Academy came up short against Desert Christian on Thursday, falling 21-4. Trinity Classical Academy's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Sofia Previtire and Zoe Harrison did some serious damage despite the final result: Previtire went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Harrison went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olive Wade, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Trinity Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Desert Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Classical Academy will welcome Faith Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Contenders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.3 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Desert Christian, they will host Vasquez at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
