Soccer Recap: Pilot Point Comes Up Short

Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bonham Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bonham, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Coming up, Pilot Point will square off against Farmersville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bonham, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Panther Creek at 1:00 p.m. Bonham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
