Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

Hillsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chillicothe Cavaliers. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 9-3 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hillsboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Brown, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Chillicothe, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-6.

While Hillsboro had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
