Recap: Calvary Christian Academy vs. Grace Academy Knights

After soaring to 79 points the game before, Calvary Christian Academy were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Grace Academy 61-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Calvary Christian Academy has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Calvary Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Levi Carrington. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Canyon Michael, who scored six points.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Calvary Christian Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Calvary Christian Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Grace Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will take on Morgantown Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Morgantown Christian Academy has four straight wins, Calvary Christian Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field. As for Grace Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Heritage Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Heritage Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
