Softball Recap: Chinle Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Chinle challenged Show Low on Thursday. Chinle came up short against Show Low, falling 18-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost nine in a row.

Chinle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emerleen Begay, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Chinle now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Show Low, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Chinle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-5 win against Tuba City on the 24th. As for Show Low, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Sunnyslope on the 21st.
