Kenston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Rangers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 two weeks ago.

Kenston got a good showing from Jared Lechak, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the first time Lechak hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in April.

On the hitting side, Graysen Bischof made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Grady Flynn was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Kenston's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for North, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.
