Basketball Recap: Chief Paul Memorial Piles Up the Points Against Kongiganak

On SaturdayKongiganak kept up with Chief Paul Memorial until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Chief Paul Memorial Falcons took their contest with ease, bagging a 67-38 win over the Kongiganak Wolverines. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons who have now won five matchups in a row.

Kongiganak's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julie Daniel, who posted 16 points. Daniel continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Carol Phillip was another key player, putting up ten points.

Chief Paul Memorial's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.8 points. As for Kongiganak, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Chief Paul Memorial nor Kongiganak have any future games scheduled.
