Softball Recap: Western Finds Playoff Glory Versus Coral Glades

Western extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Coral Glades. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Western got a massive performance out of Hanna Turner, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Turner a new career-high. Kennedy Butter was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Western kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coral Glades only managed four hits.

Western has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Coral Glades, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Western nor Coral Glades have any future games scheduled.
