Basketball Recap: Webber Gets the Win

Christopher came into Monday's game looking for another win against Webber, but Edyn Knight wouldn't allow it. It was close, but the Webber Trojans ultimately received the gift of a 48-46 win from a begrudging Trojans squad thanks in part to Knight, who went 12 of 19 on her way to 29 points along with six boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe King, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Webber's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Christopher, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Webber won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sandoval at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandoval will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Webber surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christopher, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Steeleville at 6:00 p.m.
