It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Moss Point had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged Mendenhall out 35-33. The victory was familiar territory for Moss Point, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Jordyn Ford was the offensive standout of the game as she posted 15 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Moss Point's points. Another player making a difference was Zaria Nettles, who earned three points and four steals.

Moss Point's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Mendenhall, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

Moss Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-36 loss against Lawrence County on the 14th. Mendenhall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
