Basketball Game Preview: Moody Blue Devils vs. Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils

The Moody Blue Devils will take on the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Moody is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Guntersville, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Moody was ranked 20th). Moody walked away with a 63-54 win over Guntersville on Tuesday. The contest marked the Blue Devils' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Mortimer Jordan had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They breezed by the Wildcats to the tune of 86-20.

Mortimer Jordan has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Moody, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Moody was able to grind out a solid win over Mortimer Jordan in their previous matchup back in January, winning 45-37. Does Moody have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mortimer Jordan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
