Soccer Recap: Pentucket Regional Comes Up Short

Pentucket Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newburyport Clippers. The shutout was out of character for Pentucket Regional seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Pentucket Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-3. As for Newburyport, they pushed their record up to 7-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pentucket Regional will challenge rival Triton Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Newburyport is set to take on their familiar foe Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
