Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Falls Eagles vs. Northbrook Raiders

For the second straight game, Cypress Falls will face off against Northbrook. The Eagles will take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cypress Falls has three straight victories, Northbrook has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Cypress Falls' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Northbrook by a score of 3-0.

The result came thanks to Jayden Leyva's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cypress Falls is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-8-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Cypress Falls saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christopher Izaguirre, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Cypress Falls' win bumped their record up to 8-10-1. As for Northbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17-1.
