After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Midland finally came back down to earth on Monday. They lost 11-1 to the Fairview Panthers. The Rebels' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Midland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karson Thibodeaux, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Thibodeaux hit this season.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Fairview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midland will venture away from home to face off against Hathaway at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairview, they will head out to take on Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
