After losing to Harlingen the last time they met, Edinburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bobcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cardinals on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since August 16th.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (100-96) Edinburg actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 15-12.

Makayla Olvera paced Edinburg's offense, picking up 31 kills. Olvera got some help from Briseis Cortez and her 43 assists. Jacklyn Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Edinburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season. As for Harlingen, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Edinburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against San Benito on the 20th. As for Harlingen, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Veterans Memorial on the 23rd.
