Baseball Game Preview: Troy-Buchanan Trojans vs. Fort Zumwalt West Jaguars

For the second straight game, Troy-Buchanan will face off against Fort Zumwalt West. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Troy-Buchanan has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight losses, while Fort Zumwalt West will come in with six straight wins.

Troy-Buchanan fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Fort Zumwalt West on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars.

James Kline was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Troy-Buchanan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lance Stuckey, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Stuckey's first of the season.

Fort Zumwalt West pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Troy-Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
