Volleyball Recap: Valparaiso Vikings vs. Crown Point Bulldogs

Valparaiso was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Crown Point Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-8.

Crown Point can attribute much of their success to Maggie Mance, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave Mance a new career-high.

Valparaiso's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Crown Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

As for Crown Point, they will square off against Portage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crown Point is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
