Basketball Recap: Benedictine Find Success

If Perry wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Benedictine, they should've done a better job of containing Caleb Jones. The Benedictine Cadets came out on top against the Perry Panthers by a score of 68-58 on Monday thanks in part to Jones, who went 9 for 17 en route to 28 points and seven boards. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 47 games he's played dating back to last season.

Benedictine's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Perry, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season.

Benedictine will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Warner Robins at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Benedictine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matchups. Perry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
