Santa Barbara lost to Channel Islands back in March of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Everything went the Santa Barbara Dons' way against the Channel Islands Raiders as the Santa Barbara Dons made off with a 14-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dons.

Santa Barbara got a massive performance out of Laila Hernandez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Hernandez has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alanah Salas, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Santa Barbara now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Santa Barbara is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Bishop Diego at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Channel Islands, they will welcome Fillmore at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Channel Islands is coming into the match on a 14-game losing streak dating back to last season.
