The Central Eagles will take on the Manning Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 matchups -- so hopefully Manning likes a good challenge.
Central easily dispatched York Prep on Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eagles fell just short of Andrew Jackson by a score of 72-70 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since December 29, 2025.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Scoot Colyer, who shot 67% from the field en route to 22 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwayne Louallen, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Manning, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They took down Atlantic Collegiate Academy 73-59 on Thursday. With that win, the Monarchs brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Manning's win came from a few key players that Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Daniel Robinson, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2025. Lovon Stevenson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds.
Manning smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
With the victory, Manning broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-12. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Central has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Manning struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.2 rebounds.
